Harpagus
Harpagus (Akkadian Arbaku): Median nobleman, courtier of king Astyages. In 550 BC, he was responsible for the surrender of Astyages' army to the Persian king Cyrus, who rewareded him with great responsibilities. As a general, he was responsible for the suppression of the Lydian revolt (after 547).
