Vivâna: Persian satrap of Arachosia. During the troubles after the death of the Persian king Cambyses, the pretender Vahyazdâta tried to establish his power in Arachosia, but Vivâna was able to keep his fortress, named Kâpishakânish, after it was attacked on December 29, 522. When his enemies regrouped, he defeated them on February 21, 521. In this way, he secured the loyalty of the region to the new king Darius.
